Looks as though that's for steel arms!! It would be large at top & small at bottom though.

No it isn't.

The alloy armed imports come with solid droplinks as std at the front, its a balljoint type. Subaru UK do sell them, they are OE on a P1, however you can get the m cheaper, Grahame Goode sold them last time I looked, which was a loooooooooong time ago mind.

Thanks guys
I am still a little confused, my scoob is an import WRX, it has alloy wishbones and has had Whiteline solid front droplinks on for a good few years, I'm sure when i put my 1st set of Whiteline front droplinks on they replaced plastic ones.
Was it only Sti's that had the ball joint type droplinks?
What i'm really trying to get to the bottom of is,If my car has alloy wishbones should it have the ball joint type droplinks, and also did WRX's have alloy wishbones?

Looked at my brothers sti today, he has the metal rod type front drop links with ball joints each end, like track rod ends.
This is pic of my fronts,i am thinking maybe i should have the ball joint type?
Can anyone clear all this up for me.

That is a pic of front droplinks for steel wishbones on an alloy wishbone. You do need the balljoint type.

Justin 15-08-2010 10:55 PM

Oh and JDM WRX saloons and STI saloons all had alloy wishbones. Wagons had steels

Justin
Thanks for the reply, only reason im a little confused is, when you look up the type fitted to my car, whiteline state they fit all classic impreza fronts.
If your sure i should have the ball type then i will get some.
Is it a definite that all alloy wishbones dhould have the ball joint type, i have to say i have never liked the look of the way these sit on mine.
I have also seen a few other scoobs with alloy arms with these on!

You can tell by just looking at them that it isn't right. I am positive you needthe other type. I had the same thing when I bought my car, the previous owner had done the same thing too so I changed it as soon as I noticed to the ball joint type.
