Wheel colour question

Hi all
I know i have posted this before, but my wheels are going off to be refurbed very soon, due to one being damaged by a twat in a lorry.
Oh and my wheels are discontinued.
So its decision time,what colour
I have 4 ideas
1. Stay Gold
2. Go radical and get them painted same blue as graphics
3. Black
4. White

They ahve been on my car for 6 years in the colour they came in which is gold.
Really need opinions guys

DukeBoy 17-08-2010 03:50 PM

2. Go radical and get them painted same blue as graphics

Anger 17-08-2010 04:16 PM

i really like the gold and think it suits the car :)

Ive got anthracite on mine at the mo and for some reason they look tiny

Scott.T 17-08-2010 04:19 PM

graphics off and paint wheels green, orange or blue with a corresponding roger clarke or gt3 rs style stripe on bottom of doors.

worzel 17-08-2010 04:39 PM

I have to say (pulling splinters from my harris) that I agree with both Scott and Anger.

I like the way the car looks now, if you are going to keep the graphics, don't change a thing.

Or, go the complete radical route like Scott says, remove the graphics, go for a bold colour on the wheels and the GT3 type livery (I would go red personally).

I think the decision IMHO rests on, do you still want the graphics you have now?

Crowman 17-08-2010 05:16 PM

Thanks guys
I am staying with the graphics, prob sounds daft but the car has its own character, the graphics have been on a long time now.
I am leaving the extreme suff to my brother.
I have always ummed and arrrd about colour change of wheels, its just now the wheels are soon off for refurb,so colour could be changed.
Mmmmmm i just dont bloomin know

AndyWRX 17-08-2010 06:04 PM

Id go for blue, looks different and would really suit the car imo

Scott.T 17-08-2010 06:39 PM

if your gonna keep the graphics go blue, possibley with a polished lip to break it up and also easier to repair should you kerb one, but it needs to be a good match to the graphics

Nige 17-08-2010 06:58 PM

White with a blue Prodrive stripe down one of the spokes.:drive: Or Blue over gray whith a white Prodrive Stripe :drive:

Crowman 17-08-2010 07:15 PM

Am liking the idea of blue with white somewhere

Moley_WRX 17-08-2010 08:31 PM

Another vote for blue

666subaru 18-08-2010 02:10 AM

There is an identical car to yours in Crawley, seen it a few times at halfords in the last 3 weeks, and I would go radical blue buddy just for japbash:norty:

Saw that in Redhill on monday

Dont know if it's the same one, but it might be that one that used to live in Horley

Chunk 18-08-2010 08:31 AM

If you like your car as it is... Gold
If you want to be different... Blue
If you like cleaning wheels... White
If you don't like cleaning wheels... Black

Simples

Like your way of thinking Lee

I am down to two now
Gold or Blue
Thing with Blue as Scott said, its got to be a very close match to the graphics

Calling Mr Worzel, When you get a spare minute or two,as i know your very busy right now, Could you see if you can find a shade of blue to photo shop my wheels.
The way i see it if i dont like it i will just have to get them painted again.

worzel 18-08-2010 11:19 AM

I'll try to get it done today mate.

Either leave it as it is:10:

or

Go Bronze for a slight change, but keeping the current look:doubleup:

or

go for white face with blue inserts

Personaly would leave it as it is:five:

worzel 18-08-2010 01:35 PM

The best colour is Round colour.

Hongkongfooi 18-08-2010 06:44 PM

AndyWRX 18-08-2010 07:16 PM

I really like the blue, but i think it needs to be broken up abit if you get what i mean like a white lip around the edge or something

have to agree, the whole wheel blue just looks a bit much i think.

blue with white lip sounds best :ok:

Chunk 18-08-2010 09:09 PM

I think go for Gold again

Moley_WRX 18-08-2010 09:30 PM

Definately blue, looks brilliant, but maybe with a white/silver lip

RobEvo5 19-08-2010 09:24 AM

Always loved white wheels on a white car. But to personalise your car I would love white wheels with a blue lip in your instance.

Difficult to float the question out there as everyone has there own personal taste, but thats the great things about these cars. You can make them as individual as you want and anything goes.

Crowman 19-08-2010 09:42 AM

Calling Mr Worzel again
Any chance you could have a play with white wheels and blue lip,Blue wheels and white lip ,also just white wheels.;-)

scooby999 19-08-2010 09:52 AM
