Iam not iam affraid.
I think i know were the dawes is fitted -middle port to wastegate plumb it in between there?

Scott.T 26-08-2010 12:44 PM

what year is it being fitted to ? if it's a classic....

the dawes should have as tiny hole drilled in the side of one end. The end with the hole goes wastegate end.
the other end connects to the turbo outlet nipple.

blank of any unsued hoses from the standard boost control solenoid.

FPR needs a rail adaptor which fits to the end of the fuel rail below the front of the turbo. The rail adaptor replaces the standard FPR.
The Aeromotive should use the same vacum connection as the OE FPR.
The rail adaptor and OE FPR are bitches to remove and fit.

The fuel line to use, is the return line to the tank, near to the fuel filter.
The fuel filter indicates the flow direction.

ive fitted the fpr.
its set at 3bar but when i rev the engine it raises to 4bar and drops to 3 as the revs fall,
Is this correct??

Thankyou for the help

Scott.T 27-08-2010 09:18 AM

sounds about right. It should be 1:1 with the boost pressure. At idle you should read approx -0.5 bar boost pressure/vacum. When you rev and for example generate +0.5 bar, the is a 1 bar difference, so the fuel pressure should increase by 1 bar.

Scott.T 27-08-2010 09:21 AM

you may find it runs a touch rich as 3 bar is a little higher then standard. They run very rich as standard anyway. Best thing would be to get the fpr set while ther is a wideband lambda probe in the exhaust.

scooby doo 27-08-2010 10:05 AM

i will get the wideband on it very soon,
Thankyou very much for your help scott,
