Worzels New Work Wheels

After watching the M3 go last weekend

I have finally picked up my more sensible work car today. I grabbed a couple of pics on the phone on the way back to work.

Big thanks to Moley, for doing me a stonking deal on the insurance and getting me sorted so quickly today, much appreciated mate. :ok:

Worzel, lovely car mate, I might go for a fecelift one too next, I have been looking at white ones, really like these cars, love the dash and interior of these on the facelift.

Very nice mate. Got the right colour to, its almost stealthy. They are so good to drive, I bet you have as much fun in this as you did the M3.

Steve_PPP 02-11-2010 05:32 PM

very nice mate

when i saw the thread title, i thought you'd got another set of alloys for the scoob! (as in http://www.work-wheels.net/ ;))

worzel 02-11-2010 06:09 PM

Cheers all :ok:

It drives really well and has got a nice little amount of grunt to be going on with.

I like the stealthy look of it too, no stripes etc.

Inside, it really is quite a nice place to be

Scooby_Greg 02-11-2010 06:32 PM

Whiteone 03-11-2010 02:36 PM

Yeah mine kind of felt a bit gutless on the drive home after feeling a few blasts of acceleration in Hughs.

Lucky 03-11-2010 07:56 PM

225bhp I think?

Whiteone 03-11-2010 07:58 PM

I think they are about 225PS as standard? Correct me if I am wrong!

Hongkongfooi 03-11-2010 10:46 PM

Very nice m8

worzel 04-11-2010 10:57 AM

sorry for hijacking this thread worzel and defo looks fun.

This is really bugging me now.
what is it with car manufacturers stating there vehicles power in PS ?
the BHP is actully less than the PS ie 200 PS = 190 BHP (example)
could somene explain this?

worzel 04-11-2010 12:28 PM

Good point and very true.

Why on earth is there 2 "standards" for power? Thats just stupid really.

Is one a Euro directive? As in Kilometres and Miles?

Bleeding Belgian ****ers (just in case it is them  )

Some car manufacturers still quote a power output rating called PS, which stands for Pferdestärke (literally, 'horse strength'). It's alternatively known as DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung ) hp as opposed to SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) bhp.

PS is a slightly higher figure than the SAE bhp that we quote, so that's where the discrepancy creeps in.

As a rule of thumb, you can knock off one PS for every 100PS to reach a rough bhp figure. If you want to be completely accurate, multiply the PS figure by 0.9864 to reach the bhp total, or bhp by 1.0139 to get back to PS.
So it looks like its the bloody Germans, not the Belgians.....

scooberblue 04-11-2010 01:08 PM

thanks steve

Same thing, different funny shorts thats all

Whiteone 04-11-2010 03:29 PM

Just had alook on the interweb and 1 PS = 0.987 BHP so if the focus power output is 225PS then it has roughly 222 point something BHP but who cares really? It's a beaut of a car full stop:doubleup:

Whiteone 04-11-2010 03:33 PM

Just realised I am repeating what someone else has already said..... Doh!
