Apparently boots, next and some of asda have just burnt down and kingsmere estate next door has been evacuated? Hope no one was late night shopping!

Oh dear. I was the first occupant of the Boots unit way back in the early 90s.

What a nightmare! My son has suggested that a fire would have been a good idea 13 years ago.

I didn't hear is was asda, I was told it started at the back of next which then spread up to matalan

I had to go there the next morning. Saw it when it had finished. They are saying its arson. The shop is now gutted and being set up as temp shop to still trade.

quick update on this,

Fire started at the back of Boots (probable arson) there wer 2 employees in boots that got out when finding the fire.

The fire totally gutted boots and spread throught the roof space into sports world (my friend works there) it damaged the upper floor of sports world but not the ground floor.

The fire caused no other property damage except smoke damge ( matalan are sending their stock off for full dry cleaning, Next are sending back stock for new)
