Service question

Will be servicing my UK 97 turbo soon . What oil , spark plugs , filters etc should get as I will be supplying garage with parts. I want the best for my baby !!:wed:

Oil wise, I swear by Mobil One :ok:

hate to disagree but find that the likes of Mobil, Shell, etc. haven't moved as far forward as Millers or Motul in developing race type full ester based synth oils.........

if you brought it to us to service (presuming its mildly modded as most are) we would use/supply PFR7B plugs, Millers CFS10w40 (possibly slightly diff grade depend on exact mods but same quality), genuine Subaru oil filter and a K&N panel air filter if still on the OE airbox

can also sort mail order if required, alyn 0191-4103770

The good old oil debate! It has kept many a long thread going

In fairness, I have to bow to your vastly superior knowledge on points like this :worthy:

I have gone with Mobil1 15w-50 since my rebuild and find it does a grand job, good consistent temps, less noisy with the forged pistons etc. What would you recommend as an alternative to this, as I am always open to try something new that will be beneficial.

I used to used Shell Helix Ultra, as recommended by Bob Rawle, until mine went pop en route to Germany a couple of years back.

Mildly modded I guess as far as decat exhaust goes ha!. Guess I might of opened up a can ,o,worms with the oil debate! ;) seems there are a few to choose from. I was toying with the idea of a cone filter but have nt ventured as yet. Not sure weather to or not yet. As! Can u pm me a price list for parts u would recommend!! ? :worthy:

Also I want to upgrade my standard pads what can I put on that will improve stopping .

Also is there any harm removing the power steering cooling pipes on the top of the radiator as mine are corroded and leak. I was told u can remove pipe and join flexi pipes together .
