went 2 main dealers 2day to find out how much rear brakes discs stone guards are,because i am fitting bigger discs,290mm instead of 266mm and the robbing sods want £206 for a pair :doubledown:
do any of u guys no if i have 2 have ones of a hawkeye or can i use ones from bug or blobs. ian godspeed said you can hammer and chiesel the spot welds of the back of my stone guards so new discs will fit.but i dont no if 2 spend or save the money. is it safe :?

Yep safe to take the guards off.

No experiance on the rears but I haven't had front guards for over a year now with no issues

Some people say that taking them off helps to cool the brakes aswell

Take em' off.
I removed mine on the Classic when the Brembo front and Rears went on. Been off for about 5 years now.
