Lack of speeding Scoobs

Noticed how much today just how economical scoobs are driving around now, I suppose that goes to everything with a thirsty engine really, but spotted 4 scoobs on the way to and from Jaffas today and all were just cruising along about the same speed I was and I was only in a 306 HDi french thing, no over accelerating at all, how times change, all due to the fuel price I suppose.:sadnod:

Anger 12-03-2011 06:34 PM

I did over £40 of Fuel going to Surrey rolling road and back.... So not all of us :D

Mortster 12-03-2011 06:59 PM

I had the kids in the back to and from the meet, so I drive like Mrs Daisy.

Its actually very rare that their not with me.

Cost of fuel is slowing most people down

If i put my foot down in the kompressor, i get about 30 miles to £20 petrol

AndyWRX 13-03-2011 03:06 PM

I dont think its just the cost of fuel, in surrey recently theres been alot of police cracking down on modified cars pulling anything and everything, not that i mind tbh there actualy doing a really good job and getting some heaps and idiots off the road, i do enjoy abit of a play but you just dont know whats behind you or round the corner.

Unless you know the car and the copper driving it ;-)

Reigate police just had a fresh delivery of plain cars. Word on the mean streets of redhill is that they have a load more Fords & BMW's

AndyWRX 13-03-2011 03:50 PM

Saw a rather nice blue plain police 5 series bmw the other day, had pulled over some old lady in a micra, she didnt look too happy lol

Dilligaf 14-03-2011 07:47 AM

Eastbourne police use a number of unmarked new golf R32s, saw them being prept when I was in the workshop!

scooby999 14-03-2011 10:23 AM

Maybe we should start a list???

I was behind a police car with a brake light out & the P & O on the raer bumper had gone. So they dont spend money on the cars they have

tbtstt 14-03-2011 01:07 PM

When I got pulled it was by a relatively new black Beemer. The fuzz in the Caterham area have been using one (or more) orange Focus ST's for quite a while as well.

AndyWRX 14-03-2011 04:07 PM

Theres a couple of orange st's floating round the redhill/reigate area too

There's a Silver Audi A5 that is always zipping up and down the A22. Often see it on the Hailsham bypass.
