to bov, or not to bov????
hi all, currently running a td04 on the classic v1 wagon, will be upgrading to a td05 16g (when it turns up).
now have seen lots on here about blanking the bov off, and not running one. i have not found one definative answer as to the feasability of this, can the td04/td05 take it??? what are the advantages??? |
Tdo5 can take it :-)
I was told when I asked the TD range can take it but the VF's will just destroy themselves
you still got ur tdo4?
If its a cheap td05 from ebay it wont last as a good mate found out with 2 from there

I'm actually thinking of blanking mine off..
What are the benifits of blanking off?
sorry must cast opinion on this
why would you blank off?? i mean the idea i guess is that you dont hear the woosh?? if so why not just recirc?? surely by blanking off your loosing some potential benefit gains? |
Blanking gives the turbo chatter, rather than the woosh with a bov. Personally I like the wooooosh.
the pressures gotta go somewhere?why would you send it back to the turbo, and force the fans to stall?no point really unless you value chatter over your turbo performance
precisely
hence the recirc option. |
recirc and lose the intake snorkle IMO
+1 with personally I like the whoooosh
How do you take the intake snorkel off,got as far as finding it but couldnt get the bloody thing out
