Just been over to Pauls pizzas to book a table and was greeted by a boarded up shop front. I Was told Paul was pushed through it by some drunks and has severed both main arteries to his leg. If you read this Paul ,hope you make a full recovery and all the best for the future.

Steve_PPP 24-08-2012 05:09 PM

Jesus, what is it with people?

Hope Paul recovers quickly, saw something on facebook about the place being closed and just assumed it was due to finances rather than something like this!

simba 24-08-2012 05:14 PM

Blimey get well soon

midlife2 24-08-2012 05:22 PM

I know Paul put a lot of effort into his buisness, hope he bounces back.

Steve_PPP 24-08-2012 05:33 PM

Still not had a proper SES pizza night down there, we'll have to sort it out if he gets back up and running

BIG"E" 24-08-2012 06:27 PM

Paul must be lucky to still be alive...

Get well soon Paul.

Lets hope the scrotes that did this get there just deserves.

Lucky 24-08-2012 06:46 PM

Paul is currently in hospital. He has damaged his leg pretty badly, so the shop will be closed for a little while until he is back up and about but will reopen asap. No doubt once he gets internet access that works properly he will be on here.

tangowayne 24-08-2012 07:04 PM

bloody hell! hope you make a quick recovery paul, and hope they got the twat or twats that did it! get well soon m8

impreza27 24-08-2012 09:59 PM

hope you get better paul plus i hope they get the gits who did this to u mate.

scoobieschmuck 11-09-2012 06:58 PM

Hi guys, first of all thanks for the nice comments on the pizzas guys!

The shop had its window smashed as I was locking up, and it resulted in me jumping through the already broken window and cutting my arm badly in the process...as I was running down the road I twisted my knee/ dislocated it completely and severed both the arteries at the back of my knee....two weeks in hospital with my leg pinned together then they told me my muscles were dying from my calf down...they gave me the option of my muscles turning toxic and I could die or have my leg cut off from the knee down......they told me this at 7:30am on Friday last week and at 9am the same day I was on the operation table!

So I have had a through-knee amputation, still in hospital now and likely a couple more weeks to go.

If any of you fancy a visit PM me (I am at the Royal Sussex Hospital BTW) Lucky virtually lives here with me too (seriously tho, thanks mate, it helps me take my mind off this massive shock)

I will re-open the shop but not for another 4-6weeks.

Thanks for caring guys,

Paul

May I also say.....the doctors and nurses here have all been unbelievable! Worth their weight in gold!!!

Lucky 11-09-2012 07:08 PM

Ah, have they finally sorted out that bloody computer so you have internet now! :ok:

Scott.T 11-09-2012 07:24 PM

this is great news, well done paul and what a star.:more::10::10:

scoobieschmuck 20-12-2012 05:36 PM

I am most certainly back. Just over a month from getting out of hospital after having my leg off I was back at work. I have now been open for a month and I even have a new leg! I took my first steps yesterday without any crutches or walking stick so I am over the moon.

http://www.justgiving.com/Paul-Brayshaw1 I am trying to raise a few quid for the Sussex Rehabilitation Centre as they are amazing! I never thought I would ever walk again yet alone on my third ever go on a prosthetic. Even if anyone has a spare pound or 2 it would be very appreciated! We are requesting that all money raised goes towards the childrens part too.

Thank you too all of you that have asked after me. I have been through some real **** lately (home life and leg) and I have really needed support from a lot of people so thank you.

I have had trouble logging on for a while but today it worked fine!?...

Thank you again.

Paul

Frenchie 20-12-2012 07:52 PM

My sister in law has the lower part of her left leg also removed after an RTA and unless she hold you on meeting her you would never know . Yes she has had her ups and downs but nothing seems to stop her . Good luck with the walk :)

Steve_PPP 31-12-2012 12:00 PM
