Guess the problem (no prizes, just for fun)!

So my car goes in for its monthly visit to see its favourite uncles Luke and Brent at SMD tomorrow. Had a wobble on the front since i bought it. Was told by the previous owner it was warped discs. Accepted that as that's what it feels like. Changed the discs and pads, still got the wobble, so what could it be? Also found since the front drivers side wheel is buckled so could be a clue there? Moved it to the back to stop the wobbling whilst not braking!! Driving me mad now so hopefully will be sorted or at least will be identified tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's not too costly.....pah!

Did that stop the front end wobble or?

could be tie rod, anti roll bar bushes perished, wheel bearing, wheels out of alingment, engine mount.

you forgot cv joint, oh and track rod arms (are these AKA tie-rod?)

but still did the wobble move away from the front when you swapped a possibly unbalanced / buckled wheel?

Long shot, is the tyre unevenly worn? only had a tyre go out of shape causing a wobble on the wifes corsa, was worn down to the steel belting in one place on the inside edge of the tyre.

Wheel balancing, probably wheel weight fallen off.

Yes moving it to the back stopped the wobble whilst driving. Looking like it is in fact warped disc/discs at the moment. Doesnt seem to be anything else as it all checks out ok. Will let you know once they've been skimmed up and put back on, fingers crossed that does it. Will end up with white knuckle everytime I brake otherwise!!

All the tires are fine mate, checked everything out. Even the discs are slightly out of tolerance but are still within the guidelines. Only thing it can be is they distort once hot as it does get progressively worse the longer you brake. To the point I feel it's necessary to come off them before something bad happens!:angst:

Well all sorted now thankfully. Brent was right, it was the brakes. Had the discs skimmed up and all good now, no more vibrating from the front. They must have been sent out of tolerance. Never mind, may actually be able to get on with a few mods now :-)

Yeah you're not wrong mate, was driving me mad! Given a clean bill of health now though so I can put the front spoiler on and do a few other bits..... Fingers crossed :-)
