what oil and spark plugs would be best for my 1994 classic wrx?

A lot depends on state of tune/age of car and usage planned.

its a 1994 wrx current mod list that i know of as only just picked this one up is

hks cone filter
decat down pipe strait center pipe and ninja 2 back box
255 walbro fuel pump
Turbosmart FPR-800 Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit
1 bar of boost
40hp fogger nitrous

not even going to go there with oil as its a much talked about and argued subject. all i would say it on a car your age don't spend over 25 quid on oil.
for plugs get ngk pfr 6b from a local motor factors normally about 38 quid a set. beware scooby specialists will charge more.

Ebay comes up trumps for spark plugs too, just got a set of the 7's for £32 delivered - just put qty 4 into the page (turned up next day too :))

tank - the pfr6b and pfr7b plugs are interchangable so you can use either, the 7's are normally for higher tuned cars but i use them in mine which is pretty much standard engine wise.

Dam, must look harder, just got some PFR7B's off eBay for £38 delivered, Doh. Still not a bad price though compared to some places.

personally its more important to have the correct oil in an older car as its running on poorer tolerances, etc. than a new version..............

we stock 6's or 7's (and race options also) at similiar prices to above and would normally suplly a race spec ester based synth oil for a Turbo scoob, exact grade would depand primarily on engine spec and use its put to)

i wouldn't put 7's in unless running above 1.3bar as they don't seem to last as well as 6's.

Really? You read one thing, somebody tells you something else, and it all becomes slightly confusing and annoying as to wether your doing the right thing !!!!! :roll:

I have 6's in now but looking back at the service history they have been in there for a while so i thought why not change them to a better plug i.e 7's. So question is was it a good move for my STI running wise ?? :???:

6 or 7 agh confused on what ones to go for ild like the ones that will get rid of my miss fire :more:

6 or 7 are ok but 7's not really needed unless running over 1.3bar.
miss fire may be due to worn or cracked coil pack tips.

Hmmm, haven't heard of that. Doesn't worry me though, my current 7's have been in there 3 or 4 years (15-20k) and thought it was time to change them. Doing even less mileage now doesn't bother me :)
