You guys need to try this new US product

You guys may want to invest in this new product. I have given my guys a roll each for emergencies and it's proving awesome stuff.

Rescue tape.

It's silicone based and activates a chain reaction when stretched.

If you have a water hose that is split you don't even need to turn the water off.
Stretch it and wrap and that's it. It's crazy as it's not even sticky.

Under pressure the tape lines fade away as it become a single "lump" of high resistance silicone.

We have also used it on split hydraulic hosing on equipment and this stuff works ! and works well.

Electrical uses as well as it proves good up to 8000 volts

Tensile strength up to 950 psi

Heat resistance up to 260 C

Will cope with all forms of domestic plumbing leakage.

Automotive hose repairs with a jubilee clip both ends of tape and it holds.

Wrap around any hand held tool and it forms a silicone cushioned grip.

Isn't that just Self-Amalgamating tape in fancy colours ?
If so it's been around for years. Infact I think you'll find some in the wiring harness of a 1960's Jaguar Jet.

Seen this tape used by Ryan 'prodrive Rules' on Scoobynet to wrap his inlet hose once all the takeoffs were removed to make it look OE. Planning on dong it to mine and it will have the bonus of hiding the green!
