Commuters

Right Chaps, I now have the pleasure of being sat in a car for 3 hours a day on the commute to and from work, what the hell do people do to keep themselves occupied (other than concentrating on your driving obviously). I've only been doing it three days and fed up with it already :sadno:

Tunes :)

(but my commute is only half hour each way).

Get loads of audiobooks. If fiction stuff is a little fruity for you get some ridiculous conspiracy podcasts about how George Bush and The Queen are lizards and how the Freemasons shot Kennedy.

Get the local property paper and start looking for something closer to work

Only a 6 month contract so not looking to move but like the idea of Audio books.
If I pick my nose for 3 hours a day, what little brains I have will end up flicked all over the floor of the car.

Buy one of those 'learn a language' CD packs. Decent amount of spare time whilst driving if you want to brush up on your German :)

Red Baron 07-09-2012 07:00 PM

As long as they understand "Beer Please" I don't need to learn German lol

Discovered a different route home tonight but pretty boring. Anybody know what the best route from Gatwick to Hastings is at rush hour?

Move to France, empty roads which are really well maintained.

It becomes easy. I've been going to Bracknell and back the last 6 weeks (from Hastings!).
