Tuner Nut - Recomendations

Has anyone got any recomendations for a set of tuner nuts.
I would prefer Black Anodised, and like the idea of the tuner type fitment. Ths gives a bit more clearance for the wheel wrench thus preventing wheel damage when removing/fitting.

I have just bought a set but the bite/contact point on the wheels is probably less than 50% that of the nut it replaces. So I'm not to keen too fit them.

I also noticed that these ones are hollow all the way through so water/dirt can get through to the thread and will probably cause them to sieze on, at some point.

Show us your nuts !!!

Also interested in this :)

I've just had a cheapish set of chromed steel tuner nuts on mine for the last few years, seem to lasted wheel enough but the chroming is starting to crack off and theres rust spots on some of them too.

These are cheap but not sure on the quality - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-x-ALLOY...item20c4c1fc42

There the ones I got. Am at present trying to get them returned for refund as the 50% reduction in clamping area doesn't seem fit for purpose.

Can you take a picture of the face of one of them alongside one of your existing nuts?

They pretty much look just like a black anodized version of what i'm using without any problems...

Your right nick but mine did get put back onto the car with a friggin rattle gun by a complete Bellend!

I have purchased another set exactley the same and have Had no issues so far. Although I've heard the D1 spec nuts can come loose after a good hard track session of them getting hot?!?.

I had the same thoughts and concerns as you Scott of the 50% contact area after buying some turner wheel nuts and mentioned the problem to you when we was at the breakfast meet a while back if you remember.

I wasnt keen on keeping them on either so off they came after a generous donation of some D1 spec nuts from crowman.
