BOV Removal, remap?

I'm getting bored of the constant whooshing and psssting of the bugeye I know the turbo (MD321x) can take it but will I need a remap if I blank the BOV?

Running Mafless on Syvecs.

Can you not use a Recirculating DV.

SpecB 17-09-2012 07:38 PM

I could but that involves money, blanking is free!

if your bothered about nois then the recirc is the quietest, having none will mean it potentially chatters...........

This is my set up and I get some turbo and chatter noise but it is about right in fact I love it. I can go BOV to air but it's for a bit of fun but as you say it gets annoying to run all the time :oldman:.

It currently chatters and flutters and sounds like a squirrell farting!

Just need to know if I need a remap or not?

Would you not be better of asking your mapper ?
Just a thought !

Think he has better things to do than go through every post on every forum in the uk at the end of a day ;)

As your running an Induction Kit you will still get plenty of noise even on a re-circ as it just blows the air back through the air filter

If it was mapped to run with a DV, surely it would need a tweak to run without? If it made no difference it wouldn't have needed to be mapped with it in the first place surely? That's me trying to be logical btw, I don't actually know if it's the case or not. Be interested to know the answer.

Cheers guys,

I popped the Q. On FB for Simon who confirmed that I wouldn't need a map change so I'll be off for a rummage in my box of bits to find the blanking plug I had kicking about!
