new pride and joy!!
picked up my new car today!! a 2006 blob sti in blue (lower tax bracket too, apparently i was told quite rare to find being its a 06 plate) 21000 miles 2 previous owners, absolutely lovely condition and completely origional (i did plan to keep it that way but already looking at remaps, exhaust etc lol).
had a lovely drive back from hampshire getting used to the 6 gears. Will put some picks up tomorrow when its not so dark outside, looking forward to taking it to the meet on sunday. Sam |
Nice find!
Late blobs with that kind of mileage aren't very common these days.... |
That s rare as most blobs ran out as 55's

|
off ebay mate, paid 180 for the both! (not sure if good price or not lol)
there is another one on the there which ends sunday, currently on £75 which is off a hawk and looks tidy!! |

|
Same here mate, they seem like gold dust.
|
managed to get hold of a prodrive sports cat myself now mate are you gonna wrap yours?
|
Excellent stuff mate , I'm glad you managed to get one. I haven't even thought about wrapping it to be honest, it could be the way forward though, are you going to wrap yours??
|
not to sure really mate
|
I'd wrap it, I've only done mine to where the bend to go under the car is as it can get damaged easily

Change the exhaust this morning for a H&S catcack (scoobyworld afterburner) with big help from Dave (bigemp).
Very happy with the results, finally released that flat four rumble  A very big thank you to bigemp for letting me use his ramps, garage and giving me a hand (I want your garage lol) and to impreza27 who offered to give me a hand too. Very much appreciated guys. |

Scott you can get the full set of these from scoobyworld or if you just want single gauges rspec is the best place mate. |

Been a while since I done an update... So here it is.
Not much has changed apart from some new mud flaps and an uprated fuel pump. The next twelve months will see a lot more done to her, modifications and paint work are all in the pipeline! A few pics here, still looking lovely though :) http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psypglrbz7.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...pscghlmgpk.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psqhv3vnsp.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psecz49fgr.jpg |

Looking Good Sam, you need to get to a meet or two this year! be good to see you and the car out and about dude :)
|
Looking really nice Sam, as always :ok:
|
Spent the last few weekends clay baring, polishing and waxing the car. Very pleased with the results. I definitely prefer spreading the work over a few weekends than trying to do it all in one day.
Replaced the battery with a Bosch s4 today too, as the original finally gave up! Not bad after nine years tho :) http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psib3ikino.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps3dpi30go.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psqyllmqct.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psvma9hb4b.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psosmlhdyj.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps7wotilxm.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psvdkutnn3.jpg |
:ok: Looking really nice mate.
|
Very nice.
I'd much prefer to spread the load over a couple of days, but I tend to only get a limited window of opportunity so have to go for it! It's incredibly clean. There's barely a panel on either of our cars that some div hasn't put a blemish on, even if it's only minor. Little door dings and chips and what have you! :splat: |
Looking very clean and tidy, excellent job you've done there :10:

Well after nearly four years of keeping her standard ish, I've finally got around to some suspension mods.
She spent the day yesterday at SMD to install: Tein flex z coilovers Whiteline 24mm rear ARB Whiteline bump steer correction kit Whiteline rear camber bolts Scoobyworld front strut brace. Oh and some lovely new wheels thanks to Ginola :) http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps0okizjh4.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...pszsxgy0fy.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psiyo89xkp.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psn95low3m.jpg http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...psjvl0u0qp.jpg Not had a proper chance to test her out yet... But she's sitting much better now. |
Awesome stuff, looks tasty and I know for a fact Dave will be in bits after he sees this! Good work!
|
new pride and joy!!
They look awesome dude(well I know they do!!) did you get the geo setup yet? Drop me a message when you can mate... Car looks much better with the drop

|
Looks great and wheels look good, but I prefer the old ones ;) and wish they would fit a classic.
|
Thanks for the nice comments guys.
Looking forward to giving her a spirited drive tomorrow evening to test the current setup.... May need a few tweeks :) Don't worry Scott the old wheels aren't going know where. They're getting a well deserved refurb and maybe a nice set 888s to suit ;) |
