No Tim, I've not tried an E30 M3, partly because, I guess, I was into BTCC in the 1980s and the M3 was the opposition. I do think I could be tempted by a TR6 though. Saw the one on Wheeler Dealers and liked it a lot. Even though it's a Triumph, and I gave up on those back in 1973 when I sold my Mum's Herald and bought a Mini Cooper (frying pan/fire come to mind).
Scimitars have never done it for me, I'm afraid.
