Thank you for the nice comments guys n gals.

Didz, have you a spare tax disc holder then ?

I can't do a thread on "how to" Photoshop as I've never used it. I use "Micrografix" which is a really old application and was the first of the Coral art packages.
I've often been tempted to buy a Photoshop suit however I've been using Micrografix for many years now & that's one reason I can knock out pictures fairly quickly.

To be able to use an art package is only one of several things you need to be able to create artwork than may appeal to others. You also need a diverse imagination as well as understanding things like lighting, colour balance, shading, depth etc.
I've never stopped doing artwork since I was 3 years old and although I've never done it as a form of employment. Having said that I have sold many pencil drawings for £ 100's each, and have sold all over the world. I haven't drawn a picture for many years now as I have moved on with the times and everything I do now is electronic (on my computer).
The big difference is that computers make it extremely easy to generate nice images. There isn't really much skill involved in knocking out pictures on computers as it's very easy compared to real hand drawn or painted images.

Computers are so good you can virtually achieve anything you want, so now it's more about imagination than technique.

For example I used these 2 photos of my car

and with a little imagination they ended up like this

Some of my mates in The P1 Club saw these and asked if I could do a picture of their engines so I done these.

(I've scaled them down onto one sheet but they were all full size)

In the same way I have done some avatars for you guys I've done many in the P1 club too, as well as turning some members of the P1Woc into little people now known as "Woccafella's"

This is Daz (P2 builder) & his family

and some other Woccafellas

Damo is a good mate of mine with another big power P1 and spends many months a year out in Afgany
