Hello Dave

I think it all depends on the suspension/tyre package on each individual car. There are all sorts of fabled tales about the effect of the rear bulkhead on classic saloons versus the fact you ain't got one in the classic wagon. I think you would be hard pressed to tell the difference.

With the new age wagons there may be more of a difference because the wagon has a narrower track.

I am sure someone with better knowledge than I will assist.
