You forgot to mention that it'll be as fast as an STI up until the point where the brakes melt
If you want to mod it, i'd start with an STI. Its a better package and the brakes/gearbox alone are worth the extra money. If I was buying a newage now, i'd certainly look at slightly older STIs instead of newer WRXs.
