i thought i would take my black mk3 xr3i for a run on sunday as it has just sat in my garage for nearly 3 weeks.i new it wasnt healthy as rings were going. (have been for a while) anyways just as i was comeing up to esso on the pevensey road i herd a loud crunch followed by majour loss in power an smoke bellowing out the exhaust and instant loud knocking an an oil pressure light that stayed on upto 1.5thou revs.
anyway needless to say it died an my freind had to recover it back on his truck.
im going to take the head of tommorow but have a feeling its eaton a ring.

still cant complain considering it would of had a hard life when it was new an has covered 142000 an 26yr old
