Ok, heres the problem and possibly a big one. He seems to think that hes front diff/gearbox has gone bang?
Not sure exactly what it is but he can get in gear, although when he tries to pull away in first or second the car is being held back by something then it lets go with a almighty bang from the front end.
It also doesn't want to roll in neutral so me is thinking it may not be the gearbox, but i am only guessing not seeing or hearing it myself!
How hard is it to strip the front end down and does any one have a rough idea of what has gone kaput?! front diff/ gearbox
Please post up with any thoughts or pm him with some things he could try to diagnose what it could be!
