If you take readings with your paint guage, you'll see that when you do the second pass to reduce the unworked side, you further reduce the area that you've already finished! You end up with a much reduced area where you cut up to for the 50/50 (normaly a tape line) Even with a DA your ending up with an area with a much reduced level! compared to the rest of the panel / area!
Amazes me why people do it? you effectivly add a depth defect by doing so!! A safer way is to set up a camera and take photos as you go along.... befores/durings and afters......
