380-400BHP is probably the best place to be on a Newage 2.0 STi. Time has shown that they can handle it with the right mods without major engine work. It also gives you great road car performance for alot less folding stuff then 450-500BHP would require.

My Hawk was probably about 340-350BHP (conservative estimate) and I was quite happy with that, so much so that I didn't push the boost beyond the PPP targets, just tweaked things around due to the exhaust and filter mods made. The 3" exhaust and decat IMHO makes a big difference to the 2.5l.

But the Classic running the lower 335BHP feels so much quicker, even with the longer gears, and would pull away from Nige's Hawk (which was running the same spec and similar map to my old Hawk....and with Nige behind the wheel ).
Power-To-Weight calculations prove that a Newage would require just over 400BHP to be equivelent, hence why I think 380-400BHP is a good Newage target
