Hi Nige - Yes you are right about the pillars. Just one of the "custom touches". You will note the stripes along the wheel arches, front spoiler etc which mimmick the Broadspeed Racing cars of the 70's.

Yes it's an O/D box. Should be okay as the car has only done 78000 miles in all it's 33 years! However a spare would not go amiss!

I have a spare lightened and balanced engine for it as well, which came out of another green Sprint I owned (see picture - it's the one at the back). Fancy owning five Triumphs in the day. Only got 4 Subarus at the mo though. Poor Julia!
