Lol, no not stupid at all, I know what you mean. I had a set twin 40's on my fiesta xr2 many years ago that came with the car, although I didn't really understand what they were back then.

I have thought about doing that and just running up a cold pipe from below using the front vent straight up and into the OE box from the inner wing.
