I just spent 4 days doing roads similar to that in Switzerland...and you know what?

They are not as fun as you think.

Unless you find a completely empty one, or a closed one for filming...as they did in top gear for the Stulveo pass, all you get is tourists, driving slow. Locals who drive so close up your bum, it pisses you off. Then there's the two wheeled kind, cyclists who are on some sort of mission prove their still fit and hog the road, ride 2 or 3 abreast so no bugger can get past. And motorbikes....who all think their Rossi, pulling wheelies on the straights, overtaking with cars coming the other way, then slowing to a snails pace on the corners because they cant get round them.

And I went in low season, imagine what its like in a few weeks?

I actually preferred the slightly more open roads with tunnel after tunnel, cut into the mountains.
