This might be short notice and a bit of a strange one, but I've been approached by Cats Protection, a Sussex based charity, to see if we would be interested in taking some scoobs (or other nice motors) along for a summer fundraising event.
The blurb on their website is:
Quote:
Join us at the National Cat Centre for a fun-packed day for all the family including: a live band, classic cars, VW campers, a bouncy castle, stalls, raffle and tombola, tours of the adoption centre, facepainting and more!

Quite a few of you will know that I used to work at Cats Protection for a long time doing IT stuff, and they know i'm a scooby nut - hence the request. Apparently they've already got some classic cars, VWs, MGs etc and they're looking to get a couple more local car clubs along - its a family day out but they want something extra for the blokes to look at whilst the women are looking at fluffy kittens

There'll be a BBQ and beer tent, but there's also a good pub about a minutes walk away if you want it
Last year had over 1000 visitors but it was a wet day, they normally get double that if its dry. Recent years have raised between £3000 and £5000 for charity. Its a lovely surrounding - the grounds are over 50 acres set in Ashdown Forest next to Chelwood Gate on the A275 (postcode RH17 7TT). There's a nature trail with a lake and woodland, and a decent cafe all onsite. Entry is free, and it runs from 10am-4pm (although everyone is free to leave whenever they like).
I know its something a bit different, but let me know if anyone fancies it
