not got any experience with this particular model of ford, but when I was younger I used to do roadside recovery. My experience of fords and also what I heard from other colleagues was that fords were generally OK but once they started going wrong, they kept on going wrong, so buy something from a fan who keeps all the receipts for parts and work done so you can check if the work has been because they wanted it done rather than they needed it done. walk away from the latter.
