Just a case of supply and demand, and also maintenance costs, second hand parts are that bit more, and they are not as mainstream as scoobs.

There is now abundance of scoob breakers or privates selling cheap parts and its probably cheaper and easier to get second hand parts for a scoob than it is for a Ford Fiesta at the moment.

Value for money scoobs IMHO are the cheapest means of performance motoring our there, both in terms of purchase price and running costs. Which is why is also attracts a 'mixed bag' of owners.
