Just had exactly the same scenario a few weeks back mate. Picked up a 2nd hand rad, should grab one for £50ish and fitting etc was easy enough. Just then coolant and filling.
Thankfully seems to be no further damage on mine but I have sorted a depo water gauge now so I can keep an eye on it
