+1 if you still have original uppipe, it'll limit the boost you get otherwise.
When you change it you'll be removing the EGT sensor in the uppipe which will throw an engine light. All it needs is a resistor bridged across the plug to fool the ECU into thinking all is fine. If you want one of them, I've got a load spare (I had to buy them in a minimum quantity of 20 for about £4 online years ago)
