Of greater interest is that Evans has been given the producer's role as well as fronting it. Didn't recognise the company who produced the TFI Friday revival last Friday, so not sure if he has a new one (now free of any lock out clauses from selling Ginger productions?)

The man is a very clever television producer - anyone old enough will remember how much buzz Don't Forget Your Toothbrush and TFI Friday generated (whatever your opinion on the content), as well as making breakfast TV popular.

Can't believe the BBC would give up any/much of their income from TG, but it looks as if Evans is in a very strong position. He also knows the previous presenters and producer so may know what direction to take TG Mk III to prevent too much overlap with whatever the others do next.

As noted by others, Evans is still deeply unpopular with sections of the press, as he has been very successful in the industry, and managed to bounce back after loosing it for a while... Think of the coverage when he was announced as the new breakfast DJ....

Good luck to him and I will approach TG III with an open mind and hopefully enjoy it.
