Your not too far from the truth there Si.
In the end yesterday, shortly after my notification of Cancellation above, I did call both Harriett and Abi at Harwoods and the bottom line is they are being forced to free up space for Harwoods Dealer group customers.
Their hands are tied and we are not the only group/individual that has lost their slot.
I did explain that some members had already paid out for insurance and hotel accommodation, but they reiterated the above and that it was out of their hands.
We have been offered priority places on the Trackday 10th October, so I would hope that those with insurance/hotel bookings may be able to move them to the alternative dates, if indeed they want to take part.
Harwoods are not your average car dealership, with franchises in Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Jaguar, Land Rover, Jeep and Mini.
They also have a Harwoods members club, heritage club and horse racing club. So organise quite a few events through the year.
All I can assume is that the 'Powers that be' have made a decision regarding supporting their customer/member base, in favour of non-customer/members. The girls were then given the unfortunate task of implementing it.
If anyone wants to switch to the October date, then please advise.
If anyone wants to join the October date, then please also advise although the original 8 will have priority.
