Yeah, I think trying to put a spin on it and suggest they aren't bang to rights is ridiculous.
The bit that really got up my nose was this, "if the owner thinks we have done wrong the we openly apologise to him."
That's not an apology. That's a statement saying "if this bloke's so sensitive as to think we're in the wrong, then we'll make a token comment in an attempt to appease him".
Overall, the owner should have taken it on the chin and dealt with it. As things stand, he looks like a total **** in my opinion.
