It's a good idea to plan what you want from the car and buy accordingly. Bare in mind what power figures you are wanting to achieve and importantly, what sort of torque characteristics you are after. Your stock turbo will spool faster then a VF35 from an Sti but wouldn't offer the same grunt or for as long. If it's something you are going to spend a fair bit of money on its best to get something with the characteristics you are after.

As Scotty said, anything non-standard will need mapping.
