A td04 actuator should be easy to come by or even borrow.
Or you could buy this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122510628758
I'm not completely sure, when we split the pivot point both the wastegate arm and the actuator moved freely. Its like they're binding on the join. Thankfully it never seized completely like it did on the Saturday after tweaking, so still had reasonable boost for the weekend. Greased it up in Germany and ran without the heatshield so I could easily adjust if/when it happened again.

The 18G might be a bit much power-wise? Concerned that I still have a minor head gasket leak as the expansion bottle was still getting high in Germany this year after laps, but don't think it blew coolant out like last year (ambient temp was lower this year though). Upping the power might force my hand into rebuilt/new long engine? Although I'm still considering this option now, rather than just fix turbo....

That's an option... but same as above point... could be a cost effective swap though as can get hold of pinks easily enough. Just depends if a good mapper is willing to help out

Vf35 would need injectors
I'm expecting that a 99k miles ragged TD04 probably needs to go in the bin. When diagnosing the actuator issue we could sometimes hear a funny metallic sound, almost like occasionally the compressor wheel is touching the housing so expect there's considerable play in the shaft. Won't know until its off the car though.
