Managed to change rad today along with top hose and some of the hose clamps. Pic below shows the old special bulge edition radiator.
I also changed the knock sensor which was a little fiddly with some of the pipes in the way but not as bad as removing and re-fitting the flipping top mount. No matter how many times I have done it it is always a pain to put back in to place, is that a good enough excuse to move on from a top mount set up...?!
Also changed over fuel pumps. I had a 255 Walbro, perfectly fit for purpose but when I installed it originally I managed to snap off the star lock washer pin that secures the pick up sock to the base of the pump. As Ryan's old 290 pump was available I grabbed it off him for peace of mind, fortunately not making the same mistake twice and resulting in me worrying less about the pick up falling off in the future.
