Fantastic Day at Rallyday 2019, and really worth the trip down from Sussex.
I'm probably a SES member that's at the 'further point' from Castle Combe, geographically, and travel time was just 2:40mins from Hastings.
Leaving at 6:20am and arriving at 08:59am for a 09:00am opening.
That even included 50mph restrictions from M25/M4 thu' to Reading (oh! so boring).
In My Opinion this should be SES attended and considered a 'FEATURE EVENT' for SES during the year.
It is far greater than any over events we attend, and the £25 entrance 'on the day' can be reduced if we book as a club.
When you consider what the entrance price is to Blancpain, BTCC and Goodwood FOS, for the public, this event stands out as a bargain.
It is a mini Goodwood FOS for rally fans, and better than even the Rally feature that Goodwood put on.
Some of the level of detail and standard across all marques is outstanding and I compare some of the Escort builds and products on offer as 'Singer Porsche' level. If you have ever studied the engineering on a Singer, then you know what I mean.
I've not taken so many photo's at an event for a long time.
