Keep the scoob.! - It strikes me its more the lure of a newer, comfortable car thats possibly driving this, but trust me when I say that the newer car, better build thing will tire very quickly and within months is will just be another car that will blend in with every other car on the road.
Goes back to my philosophy of pound for pound, and smiles a scoob just can't be beat. There may well be plenty of other marques out there these days that come close, match or even better the scoob. But non of them can be done on such a budget....
