Does anyone know of roads/places to go while there i.e to soak up the time when the ring is closed.

Aprox 40 miles on travel. Not to be sniffed at mate. Like i said before i have only been once the roads around the ring, leading to and comming from are fantastic. The place is full of petrol heads and the views are unreal.
