the fact I believe it only did this on track, probably means the gearbox was noiser due to hotter / thinner oil etc or other such noise associated with being on track (gear change / clutch etc).. or it has pulled some timing to keep it safe.. regardless it is nice to know so in this example Nick knows either it has unnecessarily pulled timing or it had picked up det and pulled some timing. No point running with less power due to not realising it has pulled timing etc..
The idea behind it is that Nick should then let me know so we can investigate lol.
Stratages for what you do on your own car and what you do with regards to warnings on a customers car are very different. I doubt Nick took a laptop and pulled datalogs after each track session etc as why would he.. so it is nice imo for the ecu to warn him of the fact it has pulled a little timing so we can then look into why.
