We have unfortunately not had time to discuss the use of facebook for SES following your initial posting because two Admins are currently enjoying themselves at the ring
(we will discuss things further once we have caught up later next week)
We had spoken previously about setting up a dedicated (official) SES page on Facebook and it was decided that it was unnecessary at that time. The SES forums give members plenty of areas to discuss things and all information regarding meets / events etc etc is available from the forums.
The use of another media can and often will result in confussion, with people posting things on one media only and therefore members possibly missing out!
We are able to moderate our forums to meet with certain legal requirements and to look after our members best interests, as best we can. Having to keep more than one media up to date and fully moderated would take up too much time
As a forum/club, we would obviously prefer members to use the main SES site
