The HIDs you have are far too silly bright for standard lenses (not the dome projector type). I'd be inclined to remove them and go back to standard bulbs and the current ones are very blinding to other road users. More OEM that way too

If you want to keep the HIDs, get a new kit as they're only about 70 quid and the new ballasts are less than 1cm thick and have a much smaller footprint than the old ones you currently have.
