i had this issue recently on my 95 wrx i adjusted the rod on the back of the pedal and hey presto (BUT DO NOT OVER ADJUST LIKE I DID AS CLUTCH WONT FULLY ENGAGE AND SLIPS)
i readjusted leaving a very small amount of free play in the pedal
there is a 12mm nut locking the rod in place loosen it then swist the rod in/out to adjust , check biting point and free play and once happy tighten 12mm nut back up tight
