When you get to the Shell station, you have to pay at a card machine on the front of one of the pump aisles first. Put your card in and the instructions come up in English
basically, enter the pump number you are using and then your PIN, then go fill up. When finished, drive off - no need to go inside to pay. Once you've done it once, its simple. Pretty much exactly the same as the pay at pump in the UK (card inserted first) but the machine is shared across a load of pumps, hence make sure you press the right pump number or you'll be giving someone else a freebie!
