I've just looked these up as i had absolutely no idea about them, the 308 GT comes in a 1.6 petrol (205bhp) or 2.0 diesel (180bhp, imagine that shifts with a load of torque).
The 308 GTI comes with a 1.6 turbo pushing 272bhp.
Still, can think of a lot of other cars i'd rather drop £25-30k on!
