From what I am led to believe, F Off Krud "No-bars" Simpleton used to be contained within an asylum at Her Majesty's Pleasure, but when the Care In the Community scheme came into effect, he was discharged into the Squadron's care, where he has remained ever since.
He is the only pilot to hold the Flight Officer rank, and you can often hear the other pilots calling out "F Off No-bars" or "F Off Simpleton" when they want to attract his attention.
