Default British Rallycross Championship R2 2017 – Lydden Hill

Not my most successful day for pictures, but a few photos from the second round of the British Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill:

Round 1 winner Nathan Heathcote was forced out of the running early in the day due to fire.

Inlet porn!

Tristan Ovenden was absolutely flying in his Clio V6. He denied victory just a few laps from the end of the Super National final when the left rear suspension collapsed.

Former BTCC driver Warren Scott seems to have adapted to rallycross quickly. He led for most of the final and would surely have taken the win were it not for a puncture caused by contact.

John Ward took a surprise victory in the RX150's after Chrissy Palmer retired.

Ollie O'Donovan started the final on the back row of the grid after smashing his car up in the first heat and missing heat two due to repairs. Despite a hesitant start, Ollie drove like an absolute loon and took the win in Supercars.

Some brilliant racing in the finals and even a bit of sunshine in the afternoon: can't wait for the World Championship at Lydden next month!
